ALS-fonden opens 2026 research funding round
The Swedish ALS Association is accepting applications for 2026 until August.
The Swedish ALS Association (ALS-fonden) is now accepting applications for research funding for 2026. Each year, we distribute approximately 4–5 MSEK to ALS-research across Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark.
Research grants
The foundation funds ALS research conducted in the Nordic region. Research grants typically amount to SEK 500,000 and are awarded for one, two or three years.
The deadline for research applications is 1 August 2026. Applicants are normally notified of the decision in December or January.
How to apply
Applications are submitted and managed through the foundation's grant management system, Avgora. The portal is where you submit your submission and follow its status. It is also where awarded grants are managed afterwards, including submitting progress reports and requisitions.
